Job description

Focus on ensuring optimal purchases and deliveries, select Local suppliers and purchase material for Plant Operations. Ensure that the products are delivered in due time in the right places at the right price.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with both local and international suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor and address issues related to transportation damage, returns, and delivery problems.
• Supplier Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of carriers, vendors, and delivery services. Recommend improvements to the international purchasing process.
• Negotiation and Cost Optimization: Negotiate favorable pricing and terms, adhering to company policies and local regulations. Leverage past orders, competitor offers, and cost reduction strategies to optimize procurement costs.
• Purchase Request Processing: Receive and process foreign purchase requests, identify potential suppliers, and collect quotations.
• Purchase Order Management: Manage the international purchasing process, monitor product deliveries, and evaluate bids, contracts, and vendor agreements for accuracy and pricing. Maintain up-to-date records of all purchasing-related data.
• Customs Clearance and Delivery: Coordinate with customs authorities to clear imported materials and ensure timely delivery to the plant.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in purchasing.
• Technical Skills: Computer proficiency in report writing, design, and software like MAXIMO (preferred).
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English language, both spoken and written.
